I give to a few of the rider "relief" type funds/charities out there... I think it's a good cause, so I thought I'ld post about that in this section here to help support riders. I plan to donate to some again this year (one at the PBR Finals and one at NFR).

Being new to bullriding can you tell me more about what the "relief" funds are. Other than the Finals last year I have only been to one other PBR event and that was in Dallas and I heard an announcement about it. Sounded like if you contributed or bought a ticket you might win something?
Is it usual just a donation for the cause type of thing, are there several different funds?

The big one I know about is the Resistol Relief Fund:

It looks like they are doing some benefit things at the Finals this year.

Hi, the different relief type funds help riders cover medical expenses where insurances can't. There are a few different ones out there. Also, there are some rodeo events held to help certain rodeo contestants in need also.
